Great book! Easily a favorite! The twist and turns are good as well.
I got about half way through before I realized I had read the book before. It is good, not sure why I didn’t remember it sooner. 3 1/2 stars

The realism in this book is pretty low as Avery acting as a detective rather than a counseling consultant seems fairly unrealistic to me.
On the other hand, I was super interested and kept reading. I kept thinking I knew how the pieces fit together and was right about some of them, but was taken off guard. I have mixed feelings about the ending, unsure if I’d consider it a good thriller ending or not. But I was hooked and read it all in a day

Mystery romance. A couple enters a therapists office searching for help to deal with the wife’s infidelity. The therapist recently lost her license due to unorthodox methods, but is confident she can fix the golden couple with her 10 step program. Kind of a brainless read, but couldn’t put it down because I had to figure out the ending, which turned out to be the best part of the book 5/10
I felt like the ending here was a little unsatisfying. The threat of the pharmaceutical company being resolved the way it did didn’t sit right with me for some reason. It was like such a looming thing that was just…gone? With a lame explanation. Kept my attention and the twist was relatively satisfying. Probably wouldn’t read again but I liked it enough
