Good but not great. Not a book I would be dying to reread in the future.
Just 3.5 stars. I kept waiting for something to happen, and when it did, it felt contrived. There are some curious characters in the story but they felt like intentional distractions rather than authentic players. The story wasn’t memorable compared to other options in the genre, but it was fine for what it was.

I thought this book would be just a 4 star book, but after that ended it’s definitely a 5 star, I’m still in shock
Loved this book! Such interesting relationships and dynamics between characters plus some twists and turns.
When people say this is a slow burn, they aren’t kidding! I truly enjoyed the writing, the characters were great, it just felt overly drawn out for me. And there were a lot of little threads that all needed to be tied together, and about half of them didn’t need to be part of the story at all — it would have been an equally compelling read without them.
