Avery Chambers is not your traditional therapist. In fact, some might call her methods....unorthodox. But she has developed a 10-session method that works, even if it is a little intrusive. Okay, a LOT intrusive.
Marissa and Matthew Bishop walk into her office like a golden couple. Of course, they are not. Every relationship has some broken parts, secrets and lies. The one thing she asks of her clients is honesty. But Avery soon deduces that things are more than a little odd. After coincidences start piling up, Avery is even more determined to get past the picture-perfect Instagram marriage and through the layers and layers of deception.
I found myself constantly amazed at the way the author slotted in each of the 10 session titles that fit perfectly with the therapy that Avery provided. The characters were so well developed, you could almost sense their next move, but there were so many people conspiring in this story the ending was a great surprise!
Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for another delicious read from Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen!

Enjoyed reading the characters’ perspectives and the overall mystery but the ending fell flat for me

A perfectly fine poolside or airplane thriller - not too deep and not too plausible, with alternating narrator perspectives, twisty yet bonkers characters and relationships, and a rescue dog.
Meh. I wasn’t surprised by the advertised twists and turns. It was ok.
