This book was pretty good. It was suspenseful and actually kept my attention. It had a whole lot going on. I felt like there were 5 separate stories that something linked together, some better than others. I think it was a bit much, it was no ‘Crash’.
This book was stellar and incredibly well done! It was not at all predictable. It had so many twists and yet every single loose thread was wrapped up in the end.
A very slow moving mystery story about a therapist and her new patients - a married coupled dealing with infidelity. The therapist has recently lost her license, which has freed her to practice unconventionally. She is also a whistleblower, who exposed a Pharmaceutical company’s cover up of a it’s deadly drug. Throughout the book, mysterious circumstances are happening to both the therapist and the married couple. The therapist knows the Pharmaceutical company is trying to scare her into revealing her source. She assumes the odd circumstances in her life are completely separate to those of her clients until both worlds collide.
The story lacked much action and suspense for the majority of the book. The conflict of the story wasn't made clear until the resolution - with all the action at the very end of the book with a few plot twists.

Enjoyed the writing overall and all characters were well developed and relatable! Towards the end when everything started to boil down to its tipping point I found that the details started to get a little confusing. This could have been because there were multiple characters all with different backstories that somehow intertwined with everyone around them. The plot twists were exciting and engaging and I think that is why I enjoyed reading it but felt that the ending complicated trying to follow. I also felt that Avery's back story was ALOT to digest and to keep following up with. I can see where it was important and tied in but made it difficult for me to keep everything straight.
A good, fun read for fans of mystery/thriller. Sometimes the plot relied a little too heavily on "characters being dumb", and some plot points seemed a little too loose. Still, enjoyable enough with enough intrigue to keep you guessing.
3.75 I can’t tell you why this book wasn’t a 4. I liked it, but I also felt like parts either left me skeptical or with questions. I love this combo of authors and I enjoyed the book, but I enjoyed The Wife Between Us a Lot more.
This book was really easy to read and captivated me from the beginning. The characters were robust and there were built out story lines. What has lacked in previous books I’ve read were present here. I really was shook at some of the twists and turns and in true thriller fashion, the last 40 pages were a whirlwind. Very solid read!

I was so excited about the new Greer Hendricks/Sarah Pekkanen release that I leapt at the chance to read the ARC. The three previous books I've read by this duo were marvelously dark and gripping and introduced twists that I would not have predicted.
Perhaps they set the bar too high? The Golden Couple was a good story. It would make a suspenseful movie. But it lacked some of the tension of their previous works.
It is the story of Matthew and Marissa Bishop-known to their friends as the Golden Couple for their gleaming, perfect life and physical perfection. All is not golden, however, and they seek out Avery Chambers - a renegade marriage counselor whose 10-session system will either fix you or end your marriage.
Worth the read but not my favorite of their works.
*with thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for this honest review.
