I went back and forth on how I felt about this book as I read it, but now that I've read the whole thing I did really enjoy this. It was my first horror romance book and it did not disappoint I honestly was not expecting the ending of this book at all. If you're looking for something a little spooky and scary that is a quick fast-paced read I definitely recommend this but please do look at the trigger warnings.

This was my first CM Guidroz book and I had a blast!
With an eye catching, neon skull cover, my attention was immediately grabbed and as I've said a million times, I am a cover shopper. The title and the fact that it's a horror book also had me super convinced.
And with all of that being said, I really enjoyed this book. It had a well written plot that kept me entertained and a sprinkle of spice to really peak my interest. What is holding me back from rating it a 5 star read was that I wanted a bit more of the horror element. It had a steamy romance, some paranormal activity, but didn't fully punch the horror aspect in my opinion.
However, I still thought it was a great book and recommend it, especially for those wanting to branch out and dip their toes into the horror genre. I plan on diving deeper into this author's stories and sharing my thoughts.

Me during this book oooo I absolutely love jasper he’s so sweet and caring, plot twist in book hits WTF is wrong with Jasper that’s sick why would you even ewww and then the end of the book awww that’s sweet I want to read more about her. I LOVED THIS BOOK absolutely worth it

Dark with twisted surprises
This was so interesting! I thought I knew the direction this was going but I was a little surprised at how this ended. Check your triggers warnings but over all this was dark, eerie and written very well. I really liked it in its dark twisted way.

not me thinking I was getting a small town second chance at life romance...I mean I did get that along with spooky ghost vibes and a dark and disturbing past. this romantic horror had the best blend of romance and horror.
