I couldn't make it past the first chapter. The flow and writing didn't mesh with me.

- concept wasn’t completely awful???

- the writing was,,, not great. Our main character had a serious case of “I’m not like other girls”
- WHY WAS THE PLOT TWIST INCLUDED????
- really unnecessary (and poorly written) situations of abuse
I just feel like it had the basic plot points of an interesting story, but the execution was not there.
I was really liking this book until the end…the ending killed the vibe for me. I don’t know how to explain it but the sexual tension was there and boom at the end it was gone like I hadn’t just been reading smut.
This girl moves and gets a new job at a morticians so she can make a new life for her and her brother. Their dad passed away and then their mom became a junkie and started dating this scum bag. The girl meets this attractive older guy her first day in town and they flirt a little, but she finds out he is her new boss. They try to keep it professional for a little while but then they give in to their desires. Now the sexy scenes were good and I enjoyed this part of the book. However the man’s deceased wife starts to haunt them and basically forces the man to spill his secrets to the girl. He had killed his wife because they had a loveless marriage and she was trying to out his secrets of defiling dead bodies…that is where the book got weird for me. He ends up dying and the girl and her brother are fine.
I really wanted to enjoy the book but defiling dead bodies kind of killed it for me personally.

I was not expecting that twist. There are a few grammatical problems but easy enough to read through. This took me on one Rollercoaster to another and I want to ride again. Not exactly what I was expecting but I'm not mad about it.
