I loved seeing the sweet, kind, and loving side of Briggs.
He was the cutest doting dad.
But Alpha Daddy Briggs?
Holy. Mother. Of. God... he should come with a flash flood (in your panties) warning.
I couldn't help but adore Maddison.
No BS, I saw what was going to happen right from the moment they met but I NEEDED to see how it played out.
And oh, how it was worth it.
The drama, the tension, the looming feeling of doom that hung over everything? Just wonderful.
Maddison and Briggs seriously brought the heat.
One thing I really appreciate about Mrs. Moore's books is the communication between the characters—it was evident in book one as well—the way they take their time to work through their thoughts, then address them, like the adults they are supposed to be.
While I can get onboard with the passion or lashing out that can be involved in the heat of the moment, I definitely approve of the way she makes her characters face the hard conversations, the way she makes them own up to their mistakes.

★★★★☆
LOVED THIS. This man was so damn respectful and mature. YES. Basically they have a magical weekend together and then she disappears. Nine months later he runs into her and she’s very pregnant. After a misunderstanding lead to their separation. From there they navigate parenthood and their relationship. I adored this book. Olive was the cutest baby ever. I am in love with Briggs omg. I loved Mads as well and the side characters were really giving. Seeing Graham with Olive after reading his book was phenomenal. Super fun cute read. Loved it. ( also we got to see the characters from the newspaper nanny in this. )

So some of you who have been following me, knows that I have been reading a ton of monster smut lately. Soooo, I decided that I should take a small break from that and do a palette cleanser. My favorite go to palette cleanser is the lovely, Maren Moore. This really hit the spot. And let me tell you, Alpha daddy is Briggs literally made me swoon. This was my favorite Maren Moore story yet. Can't wait for Graham's story!
This sports romance was truly a treat that I devoured. Briggs is a famous hockey player that has had a few bad years and he has been truly trying to get his life back in order but the media just won’t let that happen. He endures a lot of betrayal especially from those that are suppose to support and love him. When more bad news is dropped his way in order to preserve his image and stay out of trouble he goes away for a few days where he meets Maddison. Briggs is instantly taken with Maddison and they have an intense connection yet they keep their true identity’s a secret because Maddison has a secret of her own and Briggs likes the fact that he can be real with her. Maddison and Briggs are steamy and attracted like no other, but when Maddison walks away Briggs wants to find her he just doesn’t know how. Months later they run into each other but so much has changed and Maddison is pregnant and was lied to so her anger is unexpected for Briggs until he gets the truth. Another one of Briggs person lets him down but he has an amazing group of friends that lift him up and are always there for him. As Briggs and Maddison try to navigate this new situation can they keep things just friendly for the sake of Olive or will their intense chemistry be more than they can take? These two are perfect for each other but when Maddison’s secret comes to light will it tear them apart or can they fight for their love? Briggs family were truly awful and I wanted to see him go off on them especially his dad and brother, but when Maddison stands up for him that was awesome. Seeing Briggs with his daughter stole the show every single time and had me swooning. This group was such a great supportive group and I can’t wait for Graham’s story. He made me laugh and I know his book will be just as great.
Briggs is a man who is ready to step up in any situation. He has his friends backs, is loyal to a fault, and has a soft side that not many see.
The heroine of the book is a bit misguided at times, and has a hard time trusting many people. Her circle is small. She works in a man's world where she has to fight for every bit of respect she can.
This story is adorably sweet with so much swoon you will be wondering why your own significant other can't be more like Briggs and his hockey buddies. I have to say Graham's gushing over the little one had my ovaries exploding. His book is next, and I am over the moon.

I knew it was gonna be pregnancy trope but lord I was not expecting to be so bored. I was waiting for the secret to drop 80% into the book…. And when it did there it gave nothing.
