When the news breaks that professional hockey player Briggs Wilson's brother and ex-fiancee are having a baby together, his agent arranges for him to get out of town for a few days to clear his head. He ends up at a small, family-owned inn on Lake Geneva, where he meets Maddison, the owner's granddaughter. They spend one passionate night together and Briggs thinks they have a real connection, but Maddison is gone in the morning. Nine months later, they run into each other on the street and Briggs is shocked to learn that Maddison is both very pregnant and very angry with him. She's just finished catching him up on everything that's happened since she found out she was pregnant with his baby when her water breaks. Suddenly, Briggs and Maddison must figure out how to co-parent while caring for a newborn and navigating the complexities of their unexpected attraction. Their new relationship comes with a special challenge for Maddison: how to tell her baby daddy that she's the anonymous blogger who reported on the most painful aspects of his personal life over the past few years.
Briggs and Maddison were flipping adorable together, and when baby Olive was added to the mix, the cuteness was almost overwhelming. Briggs was so sweet with his baby girl from the moment she was born! I really admired his dedication to being a good father and making better choices about his behavior going forward. In addition, there were so many funny scenes in this book, most of them involving the bromance between Briggs and his teammates. I especially loved when they had to figure out how to handle a diaper blowout on their own and when they went to the baby store together. Graham's efforts to become Olive's favorite uncle were also hilarious.
Overall, "Sincerely, the Puck Bunny" was my favorite Maren Moore book so far, and I'm officially adding Briggs to my book boyfriend hall of fame. I highly recommend this book for all fans of contemporary/sports romance and romantic comedy. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Should’ve told him from the start… so I have no sympathy for her. But Briggs was great and deserves better
