Terrible. The words “#momlife” were used un-ironically and I immediately DNF’d.
This sports romance was truly a treat that I devoured. Briggs is a famous hockey player that has had a few bad years and he has been truly trying to get his life back in order but the media just won’t let that happen. He endures a lot of betrayal especially from those that are suppose to support and love him. When more bad news is dropped his way in order to preserve his image and stay out of trouble he goes away for a few days where he meets Maddison. Briggs is instantly taken with Maddison and they have an intense connection yet they keep their true identity’s a secret because Maddison has a secret of her own and Briggs likes the fact that he can be real with her. Maddison and Briggs are steamy and attracted like no other, but when Maddison walks away Briggs wants to find her he just doesn’t know how. Months later they run into each other but so much has changed and Maddison is pregnant and was lied to so her anger is unexpected for Briggs until he gets the truth. Another one of Briggs person lets him down but he has an amazing group of friends that lift him up and are always there for him. As Briggs and Maddison try to navigate this new situation can they keep things just friendly for the sake of Olive or will their intense chemistry be more than they can take? These two are perfect for each other but when Maddison’s secret comes to light will it tear them apart or can they fight for their love? Briggs family were truly awful and I wanted to see him go off on them especially his dad and brother, but when Maddison stands up for him that was awesome. Seeing Briggs with his daughter stole the show every single time and had me swooning.This group was such a great supportive group and I can’t wait for Graham’s story. He made me laugh and I know his book will be just as great.
I actually really loved this book. It was everything I needed and missed in the first book. That third act breakup knocks a star off but no miscommunication so that was nice. Still need editing but was much better.
Author needs a timetable and reminders for her series when she writes because some things that happened at the end of the last book was completely disregarded in this one. With side characters. Nothing important. It didn’t take away from the story. If you read one and then moved on and came back you might not even realize.

I read this story in one night, the way Maren writes her books are always so good. I adored so much about this book, the communication, the characters, the side stories, everything was good. I loved how you got just the right amount of spice and plot. Briggs I truly loved from chapter one he was a broody man playing hockey, but that went right away when his daughter was born. I loved how much he cared for Madison while she was going through so much. Madison was the perfect FMC for this story I loved how much she cared for her daughter while struggling to figure out her relationship with Briggs. There were a few things I just didn’t love, but it was such a fun read!

I picked up this book because I heard Briggs Wilson was ovary overload. And boy was I not disappointed. Be prepared to swoon alot of this man, not only is he the PERFECT daddy to his little one, but the filthy things that come out of his mouth will make the room VERY hot!!!
The reason this wasn't a five star read for me was because I couldn't connect with Maddison. I'm not sure what it was but it was Briggs that carried the book for me. I can't wait to read Grahams story.

Shut. Up. This was so freaking cute. Briggs Wilson is a total cinnamon roll and I love him. The way that man loved Maddison and Olive had me swooning the entirety of the book. Briggs + Maddison built a beautiful little family and it made my heart happy. 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙮, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝘽𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙮 is the second book in the 𝘛𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘗𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 series and is so worth the read. These hockey dads are swoon worthy. I am very excited to start the next book in the series!
