My initial thoughts when reading the book summary were “how could I not love murder and romance?”, and I was absolutely correct! Lucy Score delivered this comedy romance with absolute perfection. Nick Santiago is a dream come true, commitment issues and all. Riley Thorn is the cutest and quirkiest fmc I’ve read, and I adore her.
This was one of those series that I bought in its entirety before reading the first book, and I’m so glad I didn’t. I couldn’t put this DOWN! I can’t wait to see what Riley and Nick get up to next.

I wanted to love this, but I just think it wasn't really my sense of humor. A lot of cheesy jokes and the main character had ways of saying things that just rubbed me the wrong way. For instance, she kept referring to her side as her "muffin top." It was clearly done in an effort to make things funnier, but then was often overused.
For a story that occurs over 18 or so days, the book was too long, and at times confusing. It was a cool idea for a mystery - a girl with psychic powers and a private investigator. But Riley Thorn had too many powers. She can not only talk to the dead, but can conveniently read minds, see the future, and also see into the past?
Lastly, we never learn her middle name, which was joked about many times, and since I'm not reading the next book... I guess I have to live with not knowing.

perfect blend between mystery and romance! riley is simply amazing. and all the chaotic side characters really added so much to the story. can’t wait to read what’s next!
Did everything make complete sense? No. Was it mostly utter chaos? Yes. 5/5 on straight vibes. Can’t wait to read the next ones.
