First of all- I am sad that this is the last book in their series. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and am sad to be saying goodbye. I feel that the ending had more potential but that could be there for the potential to bring them back in another series? You never know with Rina Kent.
Okay now for this book:
I really enjoy a good arranged/forced marriage trope. I feel like this one was done so well as she was missing parts of her memory (and thus the reader). I was so intrigued by the humor that was brough out throughout the book and that respect between the two MCs even though it was abundantly clear they both they did not want to have any connection to the other but had to as they were married. The author so exceptionally talented as the dynamics not only between MC but also between the books never feel forced or cheesy. The world is so intricately woven that it seems improbable for it to flow so seamlessly, yet somehow, it does. Each character and story contributes to the whole, both individually and cohesively.
All in all 5 ⭐ 3.5

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! I loved how different it was from the others in the series. Eli had me wondering what the hell was going on half the time. And to see that Ava was struggling so much in the past and no one knew was crazy to see. I loved the way they found their way back to each other. The only gripe I have about the book is that the ending was a little too happily ever after and didn’t really take into account the seriousness of Ava’s condition in regards to reintroducing her relationship to Eli and them having kids.

2 stars for the side characters apart from Elsa and Aiden fuck them for enabling such an abuser
- awaful representation of Mentall illness and using it for plot, it was bad enough in previous books but this one takes the cake
every personality or mental disorder is neurdivergence i feel like she learned the word neurodivergent and neurotypical from tiktok and ran with it, psychosis IS NOT NEURODIVERGENCE
- making Eli use Ava's illness against her for years bullying her with it then ultimately terrorize her to marry him by threatening to murder her which futher worsened her condition and episodes .
- continuing to abuse her and using the guilt she feels for her parents to keep her married to him till she almost killed herself.
All while continuing to be awful to her, if he wanted her so badly as to retort to the worst things to keep her chained to him why tf couldnt he master any decency to actually be good to her ?
I cannot believe people are so daft as to think he helped her ???? She only got better AFTER she left his abusive ways and got proper help from people who actually wanted to help her not own her
-The only true support Ava ever got was from Cole and Silver everyone else were telling her to suck up to Eli and that she's overreacting and she shouldnt act that way even from Cece, i was so disapppointed with how Rina ruined literally everyone.
Last but not least it's incredibly misogynistic and hypocritical to make Ava a simping virgin while Eli was whoring around throughout their college years depsite his supposed " obsession " with her, he kept all men away from her while he got his dick wet left and right.

Did it hit the spots the others in this series did? No. Did I still devour it? Yes. Yes I did. The plot reminded me a lot of the Deception trilogy.

Ava - her self-awareness and resilience throughout this book was beautiful.
Getting snippets of the other couples was the highlight for me. Still a great read!

Ava and Eli took me on a roller coaster and I loved every second of it. I loved it so much. I recommend this whole series.
