Ava and Eli, enemies to lovers and marriage of convenience. Most of the story centers around Ava‘s mental health struggles.

“You have already captured my heart, body, and soul, Ava. The lack of you has stripped my world of color and made me realize you’re my sole light in the darkness. The heart you slowly awakened is entirely yours to do with as you please.”

Eli and Ava

4.5 ⭐️
I usually don’t love books that have the amnesia trope because I feel they are often done poorly so when I say I loved this, I mean I LOVED it. It was honestly so different then what I had expected going into Eli and Ava’s book but it blew all my expectations away. Eli loved her so much :,) It kind of reminded me of Adrian and Lias book which made me overly emotional and the last 15% of the book had me loosing my mind. Like genuinely I had to get up and do a lap around my living room at 88% because of how on edge I was. The fact this is the last book in this Universe after 34? books makes me so overwhelmed that I think I might just pretend it’s not true and hope that by the times i’m sick of rereading all her books she will have circled back and decided to continue on with it:,) I seriously can’t get over the parallels to the Vow of Deception Trilogy and how Eli put Ava’s happiness and well-being above everything else no matter the consequences

This book felt more mature in the best way. I really appreciated how it tackled mental illness with care and complexity, and how Eli and Ava — being older — brought a different depth to the story. It was engaging from start to finish. I also loved that it wraps up the Legacy of Gods series so cleanly, with no loose ends. A satisfying and emotional finale. Totally recommend.
