Great book to keep around for when you need a little bit of hope. I love the progression of healing from start to finish.

The Comfort Book is my first read of 2022. I was in the middle of several books, and I stopped them all and read this one straight through last night and this morning. I loved Matt Haig's The Midnight Library, and I loved this as well. I can see reading it a few more times which I don't normally do. I am already planning to send it as gifts as well to a few friends. You can tell the author has surviver a lot because he understands what format would be very readable in our tough moments when it's hard to focus. I highlighted a lot, and I will be transferring parts to notecards for reminders. I loved that it didn't feel like fake positive thinking. I felt the author was realistic and it didn't come across as preachy either. I really appreciated the reminders that we are worthy just as we are, not for our productivity.
