TW/CW: blood, animal death, cults/emotional manipulation, surgery, sexual content
I’m now reminded of why I had a crush on Baz when I was 14—how can you resist a sexy vampire who plays Kishi Bashi on his violin and sings Beatles songs to his two-year-old brother to help him go to sleep? Specifically THE WHITE ALBUM Beatles songs?? I’m getting all sappy at the thought of him singing “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”…

A fantastic end to the trilogy. I found myself torn between wanting to read as much as possible and wanting to stretch it out so that the book wouldn't end. I love these characters, I love where they ended up and I loved watching them get there. This trilogy is for sure a future re-read for me (and probably sooner rather than later). So glad I finally read this.
Moderate: Animal death
Although, I was very underwhelmed with the second book, I decided to read this one too. Hearing that is was originally 1 book split in two made A) a lot more sense and B) the second book the mediocre gateway into this much more charming fun and enjoyable book.
Well, well. Simon and Baz are figuring it out! The kanoodling and sexy times with wings and tail made for some interesting listening. I loved the developing relationship between Penelope and Shep. And overall, I just liked being back with these friends from Watford! Rowell's turn of phrase is smart and funny and I found myself chuckling aloud during my commutes. Readers who enjoyed the first two Simon Snow books need to know how it continues . . . or ends? Rainbow, I have ideas. Call me. ;-)
This was the best of the three books imo - I really liked Simon/Baz’s storylines and Agatha’s but got a little tired of how stuck in her ways Penelope was for like the first 50% of the book.
