Endlich bin ich durch mit der wohl größten Enttäuschung des Jahres (bisher). Es war mir wirklich eine Qual!

Meine Kritikpunkte:
* extrem unangenehme Sexszenen zwischen Baz und Simon
* lauter Klischees über England
* Verrat an den Figuren, besonders an Agatha
* zu viele offene Fragen
* zu wenig Plot bei zu vielen Seiten
* ein lachhafter Bösewicht
* zu wenig Bezug zu den früheren Bänden
* generell die Unnötigkeit; "Carry On" hätte ein Einzelband bleiben sollen!

I had to read recaps of the first and second book because I couldn’t remember a thing about them. Fun book and I’m happy with the ending. The plot took a while to really settle in. That was okay. I enjoyed reading about the relationship between Baz and Simon and their struggles.
The whole Sheppard subplot didn’t really interest me tho. Maybe I needed to reread the second book to care more about him.

Oh. Rainbow Rowell. Oh, my. So sweet. I loved loved loved the Epilogue. I need to lead with that because it was so unexpected. And lovely. All of it was just perfect, even when it was imperfect. Cuz people just are. Also, can I get an Amen for characters who aren’t beautiful that still get happily ever afters?! So, in this made up world, it was more real than many other books I’ve read lately. Sigh. I’m both sad that it’s over and so so happy for these book folks. Thanks, Ms. Rowell.

I feel at a loss for words. It is the end of an era in my life. I started reading this trilogy in my sophomore year of high school. I am now in college. This book hit differently than the rest of the series. I almost didn't want to finish this book knowing that I would never be able to read this book for the first time again. Baz and Simon will forever hold my heart they are too sweet. Rainbow really let it all out for this book pulling all the stops and never letting go. I am not the same person who started this series and I will never be again but I am thankful for the books for being there for me.

So much of this book just felt unnecessary, pointless, and underdeveloped. After really enjoying Wayward Son, I had high hopes for this book, but am now wondering if the whole series should have just stayed one of Rowell's drafts.

Okay this is no literary masterpiece but this book was so fucking good. Probably my favorite of the three. Very cheesy, but I like the commentary the whole series has on Chosen One stories. It's very self aware, very funny, very lovable. A great read overall.

too much cock? like woah where did that come from omg. and definitely a rushed ending, i feel like i can see what rowell was trying to do with the kind of ending it was but it just seemed rushed 100%.. not a bad end to the series though. i thought baz and simon figuring themselves out together was sweet overall. agatha’s story was cute but kind of unnecessary and didn’t draw me in much, it just felt like unnecessary filler. i dunno, i’m just glad to close this chapter of my life. goodbye carry on 👋
