Wraps it up, but it sure was convoluted!

I love these books so much! I bawl all throughout this book!

awesssuuumm!!!!

I'm going to count this as a "read in 2011" because I re-read it. In 2011.

Normally I actually love Harry's very limited viewpoint, but there was so much going on with other characters, in their efforts to resist Voldemort, that that for the first time I found myself really wishing this was a multiple POV book!

Still, despite being annoyed in some aspects, I really love this book. And this series.

The worst of the potter books— the deathly hallows, though an interesting concept on their own, feel tacked on to the narrative and add lore that complicates the world in a way that does not add to the world, specifically the wand lore about who controls a wand is dumb as hell.

The pacing of this book is not great with huge boring sections.

JKR clearly struggled with telling a compelling narrative outside of the context of a school setting.
