This series has become an all time favorite of mine and I honestly didn’t think anyone could top Walker, then Liam came alone, then Tuck is here, and he is my favorite. Tuck is a beautiful soul, that is funny, charismatic, loyal, loving, and is afraid he will become his father. Tuck has made the Cole family his surrogate because of issues with his own family so he grew up being best friends with Walker and therefore being attached at the hip to Walker’s sister Jensen. He is very protective of her, he is her best friend, they can read each other so much more than anyone else can, and they have a love that is familial until now. Jensen has been through a lot in her lifetime and recently she is finding it hard to move on and live, Tuck notices how her sparkle has went out and he doesn’t like it at all so he sets out to help her find her fire again. The more time they spend together their relationship starts to change into more of a romantic capacity and they start to fall in love but Tuck is still doubtful he can be what Jensen and Noah needs. I loved everything about this book, Tuck being a wonderful and loyal man to Jensen being a tough and humble single parent, and the suspense especially towards the end. Three hand squeezes and three forehead kisses (swoon)

OMG! Catherine Cowles you have done it again. I can not say enough great things about this book and about this series. With each book, I've fallen even more in love with the characters, the town, the writing and all the words. Each book I end with "this is my favorite" and then Catherine comes along and proves me wrong.

Jensen and Tuck's story is just perfect....sigh.... I loved them, I hurt for them, and I cheered for them. It was a rollercoaster of a ride and I enjoyed every minute and every page.

I can't wait to read the next book because Lord knows, I'm going to think that is my favorite but for now I will say Jensen and Tuck will always hold a special place in my heart.

Jensen and Tuck were such a close second to being my favorite of the series. I LOVED their story. Brother's best friend will always get me and this story did not disappoint. I love when the brother's best friend is always the protector of the little sister - JUST GETS ME.

These two were perfection and the "always been you" aspect was *chefs kiss*.

- romantic suspense
- single mom
- brother’s best friends
- "always been you"
-childhood friends to lovers

This was another great addition to the Sutter Lake series. This is Jensen and Tucks book, Jensen is the sister of the MMC from book 1 and Tuck is his best friend. He and Jensen have also always been friends, he’s always been protective of her. Seeing his parents toxic relationship and the way his father treated his mother really messed Tuck up and have him believing he wasn’t meant for relationships. Jensen had been in two serious relationships in her life, both ending badly- she didn’t trust her judgment and felt a lot of guilt over things that happened to her brother and Taylor (book 1).
I enjoyed this story- I really loved getting to see the bond that Jensen had with her horses and how much she connected to the wild mustangs.
I would have liked for the bonus epilogue to be set in the future and not the past.
