A whole lot to love

I knew from previous books in this series that Jensen and Tuck had a special relationship. It was fun watching them explore it in more depth in their own story. The author gave the reader all the feels and a few gaspworthy moments. Definitely a trademark for her.
adventurous emotional hopeful mysterious tense fast-paced

Amazing

Tuck and Jenson deserve all the happiness in the world. I love how they started out and how it progressed throughout the story. So much hurt on both sides but they managed to pull through for each other. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves small town stories with a twist. I gave this book 5 stars because it had me at hello.

I listened to the audio via hoopla. I enjoyed it. I love how there is romance, but also 1-2 other more serious topics/mysteries going on at all times. And even though they are 'stand alone' I love the references to the other characters and the build up for the ones whose stories I have yet to read.

WOW! I so freaking love this one. It's definitely my favorite out of the 3 books. Tuck and Jensen's friendship and love was so touching. Jensen was a single mom who's had 2 bad relationships, and was scared of looking for love. Her spirit was broken. Tuck was a tracker police and can not commit to a relationship. When they finally got together, it was explosive. Their love for each other before even saying it was so beautiful. Tuck was always there for Jensen. Always comforting her. Always got her back. She was the same for Tuck. You guys have to pick this one up!!! Can't wait to read the last book. ⁣

This is book three of the Sutter Lake series and my favorite so far with two of my favorite tropes (siblings best friend and single parent). The more I read series, the more I see the resemblance to Devon Perry's The Edens with the small town romance meets suspense.

What to expect:
-Sibling's best friend
-Single parent
-Law enforcement hero
-Lots of horses
-Small town

I really used to not be a friends to lovers kinda girl, but now here I am.

I adore this series! I’ve loved Catherine’s books since I read her debut novel, and I can’t get enough of her writing now. Catherine is a master of writing small town romance with just the right amount of romantic suspense, and Beautifully Broken Spirit is probably the best she’s written yet!

I’ve been desperately waiting for Tuck and Jensen’s story since I first met them in Beautifully Broken Pieces. Jensen has had such a tough time throughout this series, and I desperately wanted to see her get her happy ending. And Tuck’s troubles went so much deeper than I ever imagined. Bringing these two together to help each other heal was such a wise decision on Catherine’s part, and made for such an amazing story.

The best part of Catherine’s writing is the fact that she always weaves an element of suspense into her overall story arc. It’s always so well done, and even readers who aren’t huge fans of romantic suspense (me included) will enjoy her books because of the way that she works through her storyline and writing. Plus, her characters are so incredible, and so well fleshed out and well rounded that I fall so deeply into the story I can’t help but become entirely immersed in the small town of Sutter Lake.

Jensen and Tuck have fought their feelings for so long, and Jensen is completely opposed to feeling any bit of happiness due to factors that have been out of her control from the very beginning. When she does allow herself to feel some happiness, it becomes evident that someone does not want her to be happy. It’s up to her and Jensen to figure out what is going on, and I was left guessing the entire time as to who the “bad” guy really was.

This was a solid performance from Catherine, and I can’t wait to see what other treasures she has in store for us in her upcoming writings because with each book, she just keeps getting better and better.

I liked this book well enough, I mean I think I read it in three days so that says something. But it just felt like every other book in this trope or style. There were a lot of sweet and good ideas in the book but they felt underdeveloped. Overall I’m happy I read it but I’m not sure I would recommend it.
