The amount of emotions I had during this book was unreal. It is a cliff hanger. The way Julie wrote these characters is amazing. She is able to bring alive a friendship between 3 people that is to die for. Most people learn the hard way that life has a way of throwing you curve balls...Julie not only does just that, but she keeps you in suspense, with a little drama and sass. I can't wait to read book number 2.

Wow! This book took me back to high school days. I loved the characters. Kaitlyn has two best friends... her brother Caden and their childhood friend Brody. Kaitlin has a boyfriend who is an alcoholic. Throughout the story she finds a way to get away from him and grows closer to Brody. In the end their is a major cliff hanger. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happened to all the characters I have grown to love.

Wow...for a YA novel this really stood out! Tackling serious issues plaguing high schools today, and did it in a highly relatable way. Everything just felt SO fresh...it sucked me in and left me dying for more (luckily I have Book 2 next;). Kat is such the “girl next door”, and it had me reminiscing of my own journey during that age. Really, just buy this and devour it!!

I love coming across good books, books that I can immerse myself into and get lost. And this is exactly what I found when I read When Fall Breaks by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice.

We come across Kaitlyn Woodley, a small town country girl, who is learning her way through life. What we get out of her and her journey, is nothing less of suspenseful and amazing. I loved getting lost in her life, and the world that these authors created.

I love being able to get lost and trying to find out what is to become of the characters, and the way in which they were written. I have to give these author props for being able to develop something good, and being able to build more out of it. I can’t wait to come back into this small town and see what is to become of the characters. I would definitely consider this a 5 Star Book.

**Update Feb 26, 2018**
Did a re-read with a buddy and enjoyed this novel still, it is YA but I still do recommend for anyone as the subjects are for any age. Thanks for a great read again to the authors.

I recommend for anyone, this is not just a YA novel. I am not usually a big reader of YA genre, but this book was recommended to me by a group of my favorite folks, so I dove in. So glad I took their recommendation, because I loved this book. I felt connected with Kaitlyn & the emotions she felt throughout the book. Her fear, anxiety, and insecurity definitely echo just as much as the feeling of support & loyalty of her friends and family. I wish I had Brody as my boyfriend when I was growing up! Thanks to Julie Solano & Tracy Justice for an amazing, page-turning read (even with the cliffhanger!!)

When Fall Breaks (Seasons of Jefferson #1)
By Julie Solano and Tracy Justice
5 stars

Awww I really loved this story! Amongst all the hot and steamy books that I read I just love reading YA books and this was a perfect example of one. Yes it may have been you typical YA story but I cannot fault the beautiful writing from the authors, it was so seamless and flowed beautifully. The characters were wonderful; I really loved both Kaitlyn and Brody. It was so obvious that they had this intense attraction between them but also worried about crossing that line of friendship. Not only is there Kaitlyn and Brody but Pistol! He added another dimension to this story that I thought the authors did a great job with. There were some really good twists in the story too and I really felt sorry for Kaitlyn and she genuinely was a lovely person.
I love how the two authors wrote this story together; it feels like just one author that’s how well it flows. I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to read the next books in the series!!

When Fall Breaks (Seasons of Jefferson Book 1) by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice is a YA romance/mystery book. This is the first book I have read from either one of the authors and I will have to say I cannot wait to read the other book in this series. The authors are amazing at character and scene description. Being a YA book, it does deal with the main character Kaitlyn and her struggle with expectations and her plans for the future. It was refreshing read because I could relate to the Kaitlyn and often found myself yelling at my kindle. There is several twists and turns with this roller coaster ride but it is well worth it in the end. Kaitlyn has her life planned out but in rides Pistol Black with the Rodeo. There are so many emotions with this relationship. Hopefully everyone will see through Pistol enough to show Kaitlyn what type of person he is and not what she thinks he is. I cannot wait to see where book 2 and 3 take me.

When Fall Breaks (Seasons of Jefferson Book 1) by Julie Solano and Tracy Justice is the first book in their Seasons of Jefferson series. This is my first book by these two authors and I enjoyed it. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. This is a Young Adult book that will keep you engaged until the end. It is easy flowing and made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. Their characters are connectable and relatable. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride of various emotions including compassion. They also took me on a journey of twists and turns that I didn't see coming and kept me reading. Kaitlyn is a high school senior who is talented, determined and has a future in swimming. Her dreams are right there within her reach until she gets messed up with him. Everyone wants to be with him but he has managed to turn her world upside down. What she doesn't see and what everyone else does see is the warning signs. What will happen when the best friend steps in to protect her? These are enjoyable characters that seem like typical teenagers. There are confusing feelings which is pretty normal but add another boy to the mix, makes it more confusing. She has some choices to make, either she stays and fights or she keep the peace. These two authors did a good job of depicting teenagers and what they go through. I highly recommend this book. Find out what Kaitlyn will do and how life will change.
