Wow, what a wild ride that was! So many twists I didnโt see coming. This had me hooked from word one and held me until the very end. I would have listened in one sitting if I was able to, because I was thinking about it, and desperately wanted to know what would happen. I cannot recommend this enough!!

I accidentally started book 2 (didnโt realize it was a series) and at 11% in I realized my mistake. Of course Iโd already gotten a lot of info, spoilers for what happened in book 1. I immediately downloaded it anyway and havenโt been able to put it down! Even knowing the outcome, I was captivated by the story! I think that speaks volumes for just how good this book is! I loved the characters and am now fully invested in their world. About to jump back in to book 2b

3.5 stars. I really struggled with this book in the beginning. I thought it was so boring, I was reading it at nighttime only to help me fall asleep. And then somewhere around 70% the story finally began to pick up. While the romance was light in the story, it didn't really bother me much as the rest of the story lines were good enough to sustain the book.

Author Loreth Anne White puts together a solid thriller that just happened to be too predictable. This is the visceral tale of a woman assaulted and kidnapped who escapes but more than a decade later still struggles to become whole again. I thought the characters were enjoyable and relatable but every character seemed to have an insanely broken backstory that it seemed like too much. The wilderness backdrop was solid and really added to the tale. The ending was just as predictable and had a wonky scene or two. Overall, an entertaining read that didn't surprise but did have me engaged.
This is one of the best books I've read in a long time.

Iโve developed a taste for suspense/mystery/thrillers this year and this is probably one of the best Iโve read, so a good way to finish off a truly crappy year.
I was totally sucked in from the start and found my mind wandering back to the story and characters when I wasnโt reading. The story arc kept me guessing and the atmospheric setting made me feel like I was there on the snowy mountain ranch starting over with Olivia.
A really gripping page turner. I will definitely be checking out more from this author.
