I just want to give Delirium a hug.

Loved this journey of Delirium’s quest to find her brother and Dream’s relationship with his son.

Still my favourite Sandman novel & Delirium is also still my favourite character, but reading it again I was also intrigued by Desire & Despair & I am a bit sad so much of Sandman revolves around Dream and his brooding sessions (and yes I get that he's the main character but honestly he's a typical Neil Gaiman main character in the sense that the most interesting thing about him is the 'people' he surrounds himself with). I would've loved to read more stories about his siblings.
Also proud of myself it took me until April to read something by Neil Gaiman this year.

This is one of my favourite Sandman novels. It was beautiful and sad and made me laugh at times and there were so many great little things like the ghost cats and the sarcastic dog. Also Delirium is such a fascinating character and I loved getting to see more of her (and her realm). Also the first Sandman that left me wanting to pick up the next one immediately.

This is the best piece of literature ever

Dare I say this is my favorite in the series thus far? I loved it!!! This is what I expected this series to be before I had started reading them. I wish Delirium was used more in these stories because she is wonderful, quite a bit sad, but such a great character! I loved the choice Gaiman made to make her so intuitive with the other characters ideas and concepts despite how out-of-it she is portrayed normally. I also loved Destruction! I can't say much without spoiling it, but the choice he made and how he describes it is phenomenal! I wish we could see more of him, but I think that will be highly unlikely.

This one stood out from the others in that we really got to see more of the personalities of the Endless. Which is such a fascinating albeit dysfunctional family. The conceptual ideas that these almost god-like beings portray are what really drives this series. We even saw more of Dream's personality develop, which is the character we know most about already.

I'd love to say so much more about this volume, but I just can't do it without spoiling things! So instead I'll just vaguely talk about the messages this book has. The idea that sometimes it is not about the destination or even the journey, but who you are with that matters. The idea that destiny is not set in stone, you can change even if it is not the path you were meant to go on. (Everyone is a two-sided coin) And sometimes you have make sacrifices to make the other people in your life happy, even if it has adverse effects on you personally.

I'm so excited to move on with the series, and so sad that there are only 3 volumes left!

-And what of your realm
-I'm surre it's still there, in it's fashion. People and things are still created; still exist; are still destroyed. They tear down and they build. Things still change. The only difference is that no one running it any more. It's nothing to do with me any longer. It's theirs. They can make their own destruction.

-My brother? How could you leave?
-How or why?
-It makes no difference.
-Because there's no such thing as a one-sided coin. Because there are two sides to every sky.

I like the stars. It's the illusion of permanence, I think. I mean, they're always flaring up and caving in and going out. But from here, I can pretend...I can pretend that things last. I can pretend that lives last longer than moments. Gods come, and gods go. Mortals flicker and flash and fade. Worlds don't last; and stars and galaxies are transient, fleeting things that twinkle like fireflies and vanish into cold and dust. But I can pretend.

And she looked at me. You know her look. And she sighed. Then she told me everyone can know everything Destiny knows. And more than that. She said we all not only could know everything. We do. We just tell ourselves we don't to make it all bearable.

-Um. What’s the name of the word for things not being the same always. You know. I’m sure there is one. Isn’t there? There must be a word for it… the thing that lets you know time is happening. Is there a word?
- Change.
- …I was afraid of that.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the other aspects of the endless. and how they interacted with each other which was highly presented in this novel of the Sandman series. This made for a really interesting an in-depth look at the different characters and how they affected the world around them.

a quest!
