This is immediately my favourite piece of queer literature. I was just so happy reading about this cute as fuck wlw couple and although I thought I wouldn't care about Seth and Jasper much I was very wrong, I love these two so much. I like that the mystery Watcher isnt a far fetched random person as well, I hate when that happens. I do think the ending was a bit sudden though, everything happened really quickly and all the drama went quick and was sort of easily solved. On the other hand that was great, it was quite a light-hearted read although serious topics definitely were discussed. The only thing left to say really is: please give us a bonus book, maybe like a short story thing, when they're older and how they're doing. Would love that because these characters are so great!

This book is SO CUTE. It's all about 2 simultaneously occuring GAY high school romances.

The entire story line was so sweet, and worked on exploring each character, their blockages towards happiness, and how they overcome them.

The pace remains consistent until the last 70 pages or so, a lot happens including a breakup and a kidnapping. The pace suddenly quickened and it began to feel quite unrealistic.

The ending was very happy...almost too happy, everyone was forgiven and frankly it just felt too sweet, but I can't complain beyond that.

Having the only queer black girl in the book be mean, intimidating, dominant, athletic and hyper sexual just didn't sit right with me. Having Noelle's direct juxtaposition being a blonde, blue-eyed innocent girl who "saves" Noelle (in more ways than one) from all the bad things in her life, both self-inflicted and not, gives an oddly colonial saviour energy to their paring which is a big part of the reason I enjoyed Jasper and Seth's romance much more.

Overall, it's a cute book for anyone who loves anything sickeningly sweet.
