I liked the worldbuilding, the inciting incident and the first half.
The second half, as all of the other stories that I have read from this author, is a bit too blad/without enough tension for my taste. They develop their relationship and are intimate.
Otherwise the story was good: a dying witch that has to find her mate and a elf (sovereign of San Francisco) who has been waiting for his for a long time (virgin hero) and who, after her life is treated, takes her in.

The most similar world that I have read was in the lunatics by Navessa Allen, but this one was less angsty and the society more welcoming.

Have you ever read a story that drew you in so hard and fast that your brain was already trying to calculate moving costs to settle in this new universe you found yourself in love with by the time you finished? And that every story after that just expanded an already rich storyscape, and you could see the pieces connecting and your brain is pleading with you not to make it go back to the banality of "real life"?

I fell in love with the NPU reading Fragile Beings. Taking the deep dive into a meatier story with Consort’s Glory was everything my story gremlin brain wanted. Deeper lore, more characters, beautiful character development, steamy rendezvous, and one of the best lines in a book I read all year.

10/10, will read anything Abigail writes.

This book started off really strong. The first 15-20% was an introduction into this wonderful new world and to these fasinating characters. I think the author has really created something special here and I'm eager to know so much more about this universe in general. Where it fell off for me, was the pacing between the 20-80% mark; the first part of this story makes you believe it's going to be a romance with a decent amount of external plot (something I personally enjoy) and then it just doesn't happen. Most of this book is just the two main characters being super sweet to each other, which in itself is not an issue, but I generally want a bit more going on.
I do think the author is very talented, she has a way with words that you don't see very often. The characters were great; the importance of consent was also refreshing.
I will still check out further works, now I know what to expect I think I can pick the right time to read something with not as much going on.
I definitely recommend this book to those who love a slow, sexy urban fantasy - this was a mix of Cambric Creek and Crescent City vibes.

AHHH accidentally deleted my old review of this....

Fated mates, pining hero, strong heroine, spice!

It’s an elf MMC and a witch FMC (who has a secret). MMC has known about his mate almost his whole life, but she was unaware.

Courtship/wooing ensues.

The world building in this was fantastic! It’s a paranormal/fantasy romance with a very unique premise. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

And oh my god, the dirty talk + spice. Swoooooon!

Interesting setting and great characters, but desperately needed stronger editing. Soooo much repetition and filler. I had to do a lot of skimming. Also very little plot after the first 25%.
