As always, [a:Karin Slaughter (author)|18282545|Karin Slaughter (author)|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] delivers another thrilling installment in the Will Trent series. Even when she's not directly focusing on the "main" characters (in this novel, the central action revolves around Will's partner Faith), I'm still drawn into the story. I put quotation marks around main because at this point, I'm pretty sure that Slaughter could introduce a milk man, integrate them into Grant County and make me care about them - that's how strong I believe her character/world-building skills are. She always delivers on the two most important elements of the story for me - character and plot. I'm invested in the characters and I'm driven to know where the story is going. That did not change in this installment; I'm still excited to be along for the ride.

Love the Amanda backstory, love the Faith and Will dynamic, LOVE Sara and Will. Great read.
Karin - I swear to God if you do anything like Sara and Jeffery again I will throw a tantrum!!!

Also... I know Angie is going to continue being herself of course... But also... Can we maybe have her mature a touch?
