I usually don't like miscommunication plots but Faith eventually coming clean with everyone helped to win me back. I thought the twists were fun.

This one was on the more enjoyable Karin Slaughter books that I've read, though I'm not entirely sure why, as they are all fairly similar. I like that Will Trent and Sara Linton are together under one title and that their personal stories are intertwined with the stand-alone plot of this installment.
The negative aspects of this book which spring to mind are the myriad of gang names, criminal names, cop names, personal names, I feel dizzy just thinking about it and throughout reading (especially if I've been away from it for a couple of hours) I kept losing track of everyone and had to keep flicking back.
I also felt that some aspects were too drawn out, that they were added because there was a word quota to fill or something. This stopped it from feeling too tense because though it was set over just three days, the book was bloody massive!!
Still, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next!

The last two books have just been regular murder and drug crimes and it has been much better than the usual shit Karin writes about. I think I need to take a break from the series with something stupid because I’m getting way too emotional about Sarah Linton anecdotes Grant County
Karin Slaughter does an incredible job w/ this series, but two books w/o much Faith in them is killing me
