Easy and fun read. Don’t think too much while you read; we’re just here for the vibes!! FMC is definitely cringey, but it’s a YA book and honestly really funny at times. Overall, enjoyed reading this because it was a good palette cleanser and I had a lot more fun with it than I expected

This was an extremely cute book! It was easy to read, easy to follow, and had interesting character development. It was relatable and funny and overall a great book. Definitely a YA book if not younger.

Enjoyable YA coming-of-age rom-com. This is the second Jennifer Dugan novel I've read with the first being Melt With You. It had all of the good character writing of that book with none of the constant fourth wall breaks. The main character Elouise (Lou) Parker is not a likable character at first and comes off as creepy and manipulative but goes through some major character growth that redeems her character. The character of Nick is too wholesome and must be protected.

A love web so tangled, Shakespeare would be proud.
This is honestly more of 3-3.5 star read but I'm prejudiced and have to give my sapphics a little boost. Fake dating is a romance trope that will never fail to entertain me and Lou and Seeley's fake relationship hits the perfect spot. I love a messy sapphic and Lou certainly has her work cut out for her as she tries to save the amusement park she and her friends work at, fake date her best friend, and make her crush Nick fall in love her despite his taken relationship status.
The characters are typical teen romance fair. I despise Nick's girlfriend, Jessa. I wanted to shake some sense into Lou quite a few times. And Seeley deserves ths world.
