I felt so much calmer after Suga got on the court, I thought it was really lovely how we got to see our two setters learn from each other. Bring the team slower together and thus change the entire pace of the match!
Suga gets on the court while Kageyama cools down wooo! SENPAI! How he use hits everyone with smiles ah it really changes the motion of the game. Suga knew the plan, he traded spots with Tsuki and prepared to block, it worked. Suga is calculating like Kageyama but is calmer, more reassuring and focus on the flow of feelings.
Suga really encourages everyone, he and Kageyama share things they have observed and by Suga giving him the support that motivates Kageyama even more. Hinata is excited for more spikes!
Karasuno are mixing up their formation with Noy and Daichi the strongest receivers in the back to counter Oikawa’s strong serve. It’s awesome seeing Kageyama observe Suga and learn from him like that. Suga trusts his spikers and bam Tanaka passes through the blockers. Suga made his last moments count leading Asahi to score and Kageyama back on the court.
Kageyama trying to change his setter tactics like Suga is hilarious, aww he’s trying so hard. He starts off strong with a super serve.
“You did well,” “What am I an employee?” They blast through with more quicks woo!
Kageyama actually talks to Tsuki and learns what kind of toss he prefers. By doing that it allows Tsuki to send a feint toss and score woo teamwork! Kageyama praised Tsuki ahhh, this is a huge step forward for them.
Seeing Oikawa’s backstory is cool, he’s scared that someone will overtake him and even still he can’t beat the unbeatable. Little baby Kageyama asking to be taught how to jump serve is so cute.
Kageyama was really showing what Suga had taught him, he was reading the players and knew Oikawa would toss to Iwazumi. But he look over at Tsuki and pulled him back so he was ready ahhh!
Oikawa really threw the team off with that back attack! Hinata is pumped and ready to go in. A WIDE BROAD ATTACK AHHH! Boom they really used the full width of the court.

The cliffhanger at the end of vol 6 was so dramatic that I launched right into vol 7! This whole book is taken up by a set of games of Karasuno versus Blue Castle, one of the most exciting rivalries that we've had so far. But the core of the story watching the Karasuno players level up their emotional intelligence and communication skills. Watching Kageyama try to smile stuck icy fear into my heart, but watching him high five and compliment his teammates melted it again. Can't wait to read more!

they’re sure making me emotional about volleyball

I watched the anime and I know how this is gonna end...but I'm still riveted. Reading the manga is an equal experience to watching the anime. Forget the language around adaptation, this is a direct translation. Bless Furudate.

This is probably my favourite volume so far because SUGA.
