An absolute gut wrenching, disgusting, heartbreaking, shocking MASTERPIECE. The characters, the setting, the drama, and the horror.. this novel had me feeling nauseous & so so angry. Every 50 pages there was another twist, another piece of the story uncovered, another shocking revelation. But what a beautiful, satisfying, terrible story of forgiveness, mistrust, and grief that opens your eyes to horror of the dark web and the hard truth: you can’t trust anyone.
My only critique, is the death scene of Paul. I wish he had been incarcerated and paid for his disgusting actions. Or killed in a more torturous or cold hearted manner. haha but it was realistic, so I understand.
But beautiful work altogether. This should be a required reading.

It feels wrong to rate this book 5 stars but I haven’t read a thriller that made my heart pound like this in a long time. Even though the chapters were long I couldn’t stop reading. The way she writes is incredible and scary.

I really enjoyed this book and the way the story was going and had a dark side to it. I felt like the first quarter and last quarter were really good but then kinda dipped in the middle. I feel like if this was like 100 or 200 pages shorter it would of been way better and would of benefited with shorter chapters

Pretty Girls managed to keep me hooked from beginning to end! I have seen this book pop up a lot on best thrillers lists, and I’m glad I finally picked it up.
I really enjoyed the characters. Claire and Lydia had their flaws which made them relatable and interesting. There was an interesting dynamic between them that had me trying to figure out whose side I was on, only to realize there weren’t really sides to begin with. I also loved how the reader feels the mistrust/skepticism/doubt Claire feels with who she can trust. The author did a great job with teasing reveals and dropping breadcrumbs for things that would be relevant later on.
I was slightly underwhelmed with all of the hype for the book and how crazy the twists were. I thought they were fairly predictable and I don’t think any were super shocking. However, I still enjoyed them and the suspense and guessing what was to come.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It was emotional, dark, and thrilling throughout.
