Least favorite of all Christina Lauren books I’ve read so far. I enjoyed elements of the story, but very little had to do with the characters or plot. A little icked out and a lot disappointed.

Honestly didnt really like Sam or Tate, they were just there. Really insta-lovey which I didn't like at all. When they did reconnect it felt extremely rushed. The story as a whole didn't feel romantic, it was just meh

Stopped at chapter 25 (80%)  and googled the ending - counting this google search as finishing the book - so glad I did because didn't like it and I would've been annoyed to put more time in this book just for that. Yeah nah.

This was really cute! I think you could consider this a second chance romance. Tate was such a sweet character and so were the people she surrounded herself with. Her dad on the other hand was a piece of work and I’m being nice. I loved Sam until he screwed over Tate. Honestly for most of the book I didn’t think he actually did it but then he admitted to it and while I understand his reasoning I’m still mad at him. Tate is way more forgiving than me that’s for sure.
As always Christina Lauren does a wonderful job of being a story to life and making you fall for their characters. I couldn’t put this one down.

This book honestly should have been longer. I actually enjoyed the plot, but I feel like a lot of it was overshadowed by the movie. I needed more of their love story and falling in love with them.

I'm reviewing this book like over a month after I finished reading it, and I really had to rack my brain to remember what this book was about. After I read the synopsis it jogged my memory, but I rememer why I couldn't really remember it lol.
The beginning of the book started off good. It gave the history of how they met as teenagers, we met their guardians, and they also were interesting characters. Then as the book went on the main character got whiny and short tempered, the love interest was more dynamic than the main character, but we see a lot less of him and his story.
This was one of those books that I wish they would hurry up and get to the point like half-way through.
I've read other books by this author that I really liked, so I won't give up on this author quite yet.
