In my opinion, this is an epic conclusion to the trilogy. The beginning started so strong and had my jaw dropping. I loved the different POV and found myself really loving characters I wasn’t as interested in earlier in the series.

Honestly, this is so perfect for all the girlies who loved Game of Thrones but wanted better for Dani. This book shows feminine rage without overcoming all judgement. The series had good character growth and a wonderful conclusion.

It probably could have been a little shorter. I feel like I may have forgotten a lot that happened because it didn’t feel super important to the story.

Overall, I will be recommending this book to friends!

What a great conclusion to this trilogy! I finished reading book 1 and 2 last month and it was 4 stars all around, an excellent Romantasy series to add to your TBR. This was action packed and quite the ride!

I absolutely love the relationship between our MCs and their nicknames for each other. Our FMC is powerful with female rage a plenty, I enjoyed her character development so much in this instalment! Our MMC is so adoring and all their interactions left me swooning

👑A Throne of Wings and Embers👑

“And now the queen will know exactly who and what she is dealing with” - Eilanna

“Every moment I thought to myself that I couldn’t possibly ever love her more, she proved me wrong - which, of course, was her favourite thing to do” - Jace

OH👏 MY👏 GOODNESS 👏. This Book‼️. I’m still over here crying into my wine while writing this review. A Throne of Wings and Embers is the epic finale of The Forbidden Heir Trilogy, and it gave me everything — except, you know, my sanity because that’s gone.

I’ll admit, the beginning had me raging at one particular character and some questionable actions made by said character. (You’ll know what I mean, I hope). But, you know what? Once we got past that, whew, it turned into the kind of story you’d cancel plans to finish. The last 150 pages had me terrified — was Emilia Jae going to crush my soul 😭 or give me a happy cry ending? 🤞 Spoiler: happy sobs y’all, you’re Safe. 🥲

Here’s the gist: This final book ties everything together. We’ve got Wyvern’s, witches, sirens, centaurs, fae, humans…..and probably some other fantastical beings I’m forgetting. There’s a false Queen ruling through fear and destruction, and then there’s Lia, our Heir of Velyran, who has been through hell and back. It all comes down to the final battle, and let me tell you, it’s a showdown worth reading every single page for. 👀

I won’t spoil anything else because you really just need to go experience it. Trust me, if you made it this far into the series, you’ll be glued to the end of this book 📖

Tropes:
🧚 Fae
🐉 Wyvern (and yes, there’s a difference, respect it 😅)
🪄Magic
🔗Fated Mates
🤭Touch her and ☠️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/out of 5

If you’re looking for a finale that makes you laugh, cry, and hold your breath, this is IT. Go read it already, you’ll thank me later! 🥰😘

An okay ending to an okay series. It was interesting - lots of action, fight scenes, female rage + romance. The plot was good too. It is quite wordy, however, so I found myself losing interest quite a bit and this took me a while to finish. Overall though, not bad.

I strongly recommend this series!

I received this as an ARC and I truly enjoyed every book in this series. The character development is so great, great enough that I truly hated some of these characters or actions that they took. Book 3 really tied together a lot of lose ends without rushing things...the 600+ pages were used extremely well. There are some twists and turns in here that I just loved. Jace and Lia are so great and I loved that not all of there decisions were perfect; they had some true character flaws and those were highlighted well. The spice is really great in this book and all at appropriate times in the storyline.

The side character storylines are great and really add benefit to the story. Give me some witches any day!!! The different POV chapters are really great and add a lot to the book.

I enjoyed the author's writing style, multiple perspectives, and the inclusive love stories throughout, but I honestly DNFed halfway. I wanted to enjoy it, but I just was not enjoying the way it was progressing. It bugged me that the Fae, who might as well have been human, were bossing around witches who could have ended everyone in an instant. The FMC acted just too juvenile and lacked personal growth for this stage of the story. She just kept acting invincible because she had her Wyvern instead of slowing to plan anything.

I found myself wanting a book that was just the witches and wanting to know more about their magic system and history.
