This was a quick read - nice, light, romancey ... basically something I didn't have to think about to follow along and something that didn't require a huge emotional investiture. I could cheer the characters on or groan with them, but it wasn't high stakes. And it was exactly what I needed after several heavy hitters on my April lineup.

Slow build. Some good relationships. Parts made me cry. Really disliked one of the pet names.

My journey to becoming a Mariana Zapata groupie has taken a truly shocking turn… I absolutely loved this????

The author is more interested in padding out the length of the book than actually telling a story. The repetition got so old.

A romance book dealing with grief, love and the in-betweens.

The third act conflict is extremely forced, the transphobic bit was (to say the very least) unnecessary, the spicy scene was weird.
The thing with her mother felt rushed at the end, which is absurd since she is the reason everything in the book happens.
Also, this woman severely misunderstood the phrase "fuck the police".
Lastly, naming your daughter Rose Rhodes is a hate crime.
