Everything about this book was just perfect. January and Gus were so perfect for each other. Everything leading up to their relationship just made the ending so much better. From hating to becoming friend to living, I loved it.
I did enjoy the take on New Eden. I thought that was interesting and was glad January was able to relate to Gus.
The letters left from her dad definitely made me cry.
Beautiful book.

i loved the characters individually and together so much!!!! emily henry's way of writing from one pov but being able to expand so much on secondary characters is top tier. i felt it was a little slow at times and certain aspects of the book bored me (wasn't a huge fan of the cult thing) but i still enjoyed this sooo much and would definitely read again ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 january is very relatable and gus is everything to me.... <3

I really enjoyed how the two characters opened up to each other about their pasts, which brought them closer.

I did like the idea of the competitiveness of writing the book between them.

I always have enjoyed Emily Henry’s writing style and I think I will buy her other books that I haven’t read yet.

You could feel the emotion she has put into this book from the characters which I felt personally too.

A lovely feel-good read, if you're looking for a plot that is filled with emotion and not too complex to process.
January, the protagonist, and Augustus, the male lead have excellent chemistry throughout the book. I found myself rooting for the couple throughout! I enjoyed the way the book was written, how emotions were translated into words and complicated thoughts were expressed. It felt like a diary entry but a beautifully written one!
There was a great character arc, as with felt real, had their own fears and traumas and worked them out right until the end. There was no perfection in each person - making it real, as we as humans have so many flaws that we realize and try to fix.
To conclude, definitely a book worth the read!
