Sød, let colleen hoover bog. Let læselig romance. Hovedpersonen sagde mig ikke så meget som andre karaktere i colleen Hoover bøger, men nød bogen og romancen :-)

My Rating: 5 Stars
Tropes: New Adult Romance

If you’ve read or plan to read this book remember this: Colleen Hoover has hit the romance JACKPOT again with this timely, emotional, and incredibly uplifting novel. I can easily say that after reading and loving nearly all of Hoover’s novels that she is one of the most gifted authors I’ve had the pleasure of reading. She takes real life scenarios and turns them into stories of overcoming demons and finding oneself amidst the chaos. She writes her books from the heart and manages to capture the magic of every romance she produces- she’s an incredible storyteller and I am grateful I took a chance on her novels a few years ago.

This story is a bit different than her other novels in terms of plot, but much the same in terms of delivering the feels. Heart Bones is a new adult romance that centers around two teens who have lived a life no one can fathom (unless they’ve lived through the mess themselves). She immersed me into a culture I’ve thankfully never had to experience, and made it feel all the more real despite my inability to fully relate. This is also a story that magnifies the theory that the choices we make, make us into the people we are today. Life is a series of choices and we can choose to stay with the hardships or find something better. It’s not easy, and this is directly shown through this novel, but it is possible. You’ll learn that and so much more in this emotionally charged novel of love, secrets, half-truths, and time.

Bravo, Colleen Hoover for writing another book that completely consumed me from beginning to end. Keep on writing these gorgeous novels because they truly have the power to shape and change we see the world.

I devoured this book in less than 24 hours and I definitely had some salty water leaking from my baby blues. Poignant, heart breaking and all around an incredible eye opening read!

Beyah and Samson

best coho book

I listened to the audiobook so I have no idea how much of a page turner it was.
Yes I wanted to figure out how the story would unfold but this to me felt like the least Colleen Hoover book ever.
New adults with traumatic dark past, that was a given but other than that there was not much of anything else. I think she was more focused into building the shocking pasts and truths of the characters than the actual characters themselves or the relationship between them.
There’s a lot skipping in timeline, a lot of telling but not showing and a lot of shit that doesn’t make any sense so while I was intrigued I wasn’t 100% present.

It felt like I was just listening to someone telling me a story that I wasn’t fully convinced it was authentic and while I kept listening I wouldn’t necessarily say I wasn’t focused enough to absorb any information.
