This book had me in tears because our trauma growing up can play such a big part into the guards we put up but it's so beautiful when we grow into who we are no matter what our upbringing was. This story was so beautiful I adored the characters

The book was easy read and I felt invested at the start but as it progressed it became very cringe. Some of conversations between Beyah and Samson didn’t seem realistic for 19/20 year olds and just gave an awkward feel. 
Furthermore Beyahs reaction to Samsons arrest while understandable to some degree maybe seemed overdramatic and uncharacteristic to portray a strong female character in such a needy pushover way

Wauw wat een meesterwerk weer! Diepgang, mooie karakters, maar toch ook een goed verhaal. Je blijft doorlezen en dat kan ook door de manier waarop het geschreven is. Je gaat houden van de karakters en de boodschap van het verhaal is meer dan prachtig. Geen tranen gevallen maar het was wel een super boek.

I almost wasn’t into it in the beginning, but it grew on me. 4.5/5.
