This book didn’t deliver the emotional rollercoaster I’m used to from CoHo, but it did suck me in and was a quick and sweet read. I was happy to see the growth of the two main characters and their reunion, and I understand the hard choices they both made. There was a twist as per usual, but I saw it coming and it didn’t leave my jaw on the floor.
My 20 year old self would’ve probably loved this but my 30 year old clinical social worker self wants them both to go to therapy, a lot of it.

Not sure if my rating is fair I feel I’m in a slump
I will always buy and read CoHo. I love almost all of her stories but this one was not for me. It was just ok. There was no hook that kept me interested. It was "putdownable" for me and normally her books are not like that. There was "insta-love" and just way too rushed and I had no connection to any of the characters. I was very surprised about my feelings for this book and thought several times while reading that this didn't even seem like CoHo wrote it. But again, I'll read all she puts out there, so one book that I didn't care for much isn't enough to steer me away from all her others.
