I will always buy and read CoHo. I love almost all of her stories but this one was not for me. It was just ok. There was no hook that kept me interested. It was "putdownable" for me and normally her books are not like that. There was "insta-love" and just way too rushed and I had no connection to any of the characters. I was very surprised about my feelings for this book and thought several times while reading that this didn't even seem like CoHo wrote it. But again, I'll read all she puts out there, so one book that I didn't care for much isn't enough to steer me away from all her others.

Prior to this book, the only Colleen Hoover novel I had read was Verity. I was expecting something similar out of this book so I was surprised to find it was totally different. This is more YA (late teen/early 20s). There were some disturbing scenarios, not nothing too graphic and overall this novel rang with hope, love, reconciliation, and understanding. It was definitely a feelgood read for the Thanksgiving season that I was in while reading.
