Excellent book for empowering little girls. My 3-year-old daughter loves this book so much, she "reads" it to me every night.
Haven't read this book since I was little but man, it's so great. Getting to read picture books for university never stops being awesome.

I LOVED this one. It's only 20-ish pages, but the message behind it is worth every star I gave. Plus, the princess is the coolest badass character, I would want to be friends with her.

Had to read for one of my Children's Literature classes, was such a cute book! Didn't realize how easily gender roles could be shown through childrens books!
I liked the premise of the fearless, smart princess who doesn't whine, just goes and saves the prince. But I overall was only moderately enchanted by the story. Something about it felt a little flat, maybe it was the language.
