I freely admit I put off this series for a very long time, because of the length of them, and original covers.Thwt was totally my bad. The World building, and characters are so incredibly full of depth and humanity! Ruby is surprisingly talented if you just take her at face value “alien smut”, but she is so much bigger than that!!

Technically a DNF for me. I love the premise of these books but they run a bit long for me. Also *spoiler* my brain was getting tired of translating the lies.

Not as good as the last book, slower moving. It left me missing the action and adventure the last book had. The heroine walked into this situation knowing what was going on, and there wasn't any real, big, exciting threat throughout the book. So, the plot is pretty much left with the relationship between the main characters.

So wonderful. Our FMC and MMC compliment each other so well and it’s so great to see a relationship that goes through its trials but they stick up for each other and stay together through it all.
