That's it--I'm finished. Perhaps it is the medium. Each installment provides a new turn, a titular key which leads to further dimensions of the world. That should be fascinating, but it isn't. I will have to tell my coworker, no mas.

This book was super fun. A bit more creepy stuff than the last entry, and it's great getting to dig a bit more into the mythology and discover what the various keys can do (and the creative interpretations of what keys and doors can be).

This was my favorite volume of the series so far. The new characters were likable and the new keys were fun. This volume is a fast and action packed read with minor plot development that is mostly devoid of fluff. A solid series that has hit its stride at its midpoint.
A solid continuation to the series. I definitely don't love it as much as most people here, but I've mostly warmed up to the art and the characters are finally starting to feel distinct enough for me to actually care about them. I wasn't wild about the main ending the the book, but the epilogue was much better and helped give the book more emotional punch.
Despite all it's improvements it feels like the story barely moved forward in this volume, so I'm really hoping the next volume gets things moving.

I'm happy with the way this is weaving in the past events with the present (like what happened in that cave?!) so slowly, but not doing a huge infodump and ruining the suspense. I was glad they Now to wait until volume 4 gets published...

brought Sam back into the mix, if only to acknowledge he's still around and hasn't been forgotten. Looking forward to see what problems that causes later.
It feels like the story is starting to pick up speed. Spooky, scary, dangerous times at the Keyhouse
More of the same marvelous storytelling and spectacular artwork as the first volume.
In this volume, mom travels farther down the road to Drunksville. Kinsey and her friends explore East Battery and, of course, shit goes down. There's also a great fight that happens in the spirit world. And then there's the new keys.
The shadow key results in another creative assault on The Locke kids.
I wasn't too impressed with the Giant Key, though. It was the least original of the keys so far.
The Mending Key made things get interesting.
I can't wait to start the next volume.

So far, I like this the most. It had plenty of scary moments, the villain is being more proactive, and there was some good drama with the family. This really showed how grief can overtake you and twist you into a toxic person that can ruin your life and relationships. Halfway through!
