sometimes you just need to read a book about rich people who are all different levels of both delusional and deranged. it's fun to me.
i'm rating this three stars purely on the fact that i had a lot of fun with it. the last 10% weren't very good, but the rest of the book was just stupid indulgent fun, honestly. i have a soft spot for multiple povs where everyone is lowkey deranged and completely wrong about the way they assume others perceive them. it's just hilarious to me. i picked this up in the library on a whim and honestly, it was just a trash tv palate cleanser.

Super light whodunit similar to The White Lotus. Great beach read

The body found in the prologue kept me hanging onto this story by a thread that got more and more frayed as the plot advanced. I guess I should’ve taken the title literally and not been annoyed that every single character is a terrible person, but I wasn’t even all that invested in the story by the time the events looped back around to someone dying.
I'm not sure how this reads as a thriller when the first 75 percent of the book reads like Desperate Housewives of jersey shore.... it took till 75 percent of the book to finally get into a murder mystery of a character and I felt like this last 25% of the book is rushed. I heard so many recommending this one off BookTok and would not recommend this one unless you are into the drama and catiness. Definitely not my cup of tea...It was laughable in some parts with how ridiculous the scandalousness was taking place but its definitely not something I could pick up again.
