Marie Force’s Gansett series has really kept me going in 2020, reading has been a lot slower for me this year and I have not got through books quickly at all, but with Marie Force’s Gansett books I can take my time and fall back in with the series anytime, even if I’ve not had chance to pick up the book for a few days. This one took about a week to read. I really loved Mallory and Quinn.

Maybe it's me, but it seemed like there was a lot more sex in this story than in previous ones, and it got tiresome.

I thought Quinn and Mallory were really good together. I liked them both as a couple and as individuals. Their dialogue was witty, sweet, and sometimes solemn. They shared more than a date of birth. They also shared secrets that were hard for them to discuss with anyone else.

There were so many updates on other Gansett couples that I enjoyed, but I would have loved to spend more time with Quinn and Mallory's blooming relationship.

One thing about the Gansett Island books and the associated characters is that You will always find a number of them dealing with real life issues, and sometimes there are not necessarily happy endings for some of the issues. You can count on the characters always prevailing with the love and support of family and friends.

As usual, when the McCarthy's friends and family get together, there is a party and hilarity ensues. They are always good for laughs and some seriously sexy encounters.

I love this series so very very much. Force has me completely immersed in this island and with this family of people. I'm always excited for another new book in the series and to be able to be transported into another great love story.

What a joy to be once again transported back to this island full of such likeable characters! Once again Marie Force weaves so many complex facets into her storytelling, and finds a beautiful balance of giving us a fresh new story, plus bits of so many characters we've grown so fond of. You will not be disappointed when you spend another summer on Gansett Island with this latest installment.

Another fantastic story in the Gansett Island series that had me hooked from start to finish. It really was everything I have come to expect and love. As it was heartwarming, sweet, fun, sprinkled with hot moments and a deliciously hot male lead character who I loved. Although he completely took me by surprise.

What I loved most though, was not just the relationship that developed between Mallory and her mystery man but the ones that continued to develop between her and Big Mac, Linda, Janey and Mac. Not to mention the rest of the McCarthy clan who have all welcomed Mallory into their hearts. Since she arrived a year ago announcing that Big Mac was her father.

On top of this Marie Force again blends perfectly previous characters stories into this one, and it was great to catch up with Mac and Maddie, Janey and Joe, Tiffany and Blaine, Kara and Dan as well as many other characters and couples. Including possibly my favourite couple Laura and Owen as Laura gives birth to their twins.

Plus the epilogue was a really nice surprise and I thought it all came together to make a really great, easy and angst free read. That was quickly devoured and anyone who is a fan of this series. I'm sure will love it too and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting this Island and group of characters again in 2017.

Mallory, Big Mac's newfound daughter, decides to live on Gansett so she can learn more about her new family. She meets Quinn, a veteran and doctor, who has moved to Gansett to be near his brother and to run the new care facility his brother's wife is building. Both Mallory and Quinn have issues (lots of issues - really too much), but they find each other attractive and decide to try a summer romance that quickly morphs into the real thing.
I enjoyed Mallory and Quinn's story, but I had a few issues with some of the writing. I understand that this is the sixteenth book in the series and it's necessary to give some backstory for new readers so they know who the vast array of characters are, but probably half of this book was repetition from the older books. I found this very tedious because I wanted more of this story. I also get that Mallory is excited about her father, but the constant marveling about every little think Big Mac does also became a little wearying. I love the McCarthy's, but I didn't enjoy this book as much as some of the others.
