➜ hero - Creighton is a gloriously morally grey lead who meets his match with Annika, his complete opposite. He’s quiet. He’s dark. Creighton was so interesting to unravel. He’s the type that only speaks when needed and doesn’t like to waste words. Words are very important and silence can say a lot. He’s so quiet and seemingly doesn’t care about anything. He also eats nasty food Annika makes silently without making her feel bad.

➜ heroine - Annika is a balanced character in the way that she can be carefree but also serious and fierce. She’s loyal to her family to a fault and she had a difficult journey ahead of her in order to get what she wanted in life. She’s loud. She’s light. A complete opposite to Creighton. She went from a sheltered mafia princess to a girl who stood up for herself.

➜ overall review - They are the grumpy sunshine trope but on crack. I loved this book, it was wayyyyy better than GOM. Their relationship was so seamless but also not in a way. I loved how they were together. Annika persistence made them inevitable. Cray’s dominance was so hot! Their sexy times together were amazing and he’s definitely the God of Pain. She’s so in love with him and so vulnerable about it, and he’s so obsessed with her and over the top and it’s kinda sweet and super swoony. They are just SO endearing and compelling together.

➜ smut -

I loved God of Malice but God of Pain was beyondddddddddd love. I know that everyone loves Killian but Creighton is who has my heart!
