This book does intwine with Pine’s choice, cookedstar’s promise and a tiny bit of yellowfang’s secret.
Compare to the other books that were sent during this time the characters were more well rounded and feel like they play more of a role in the story.
I liked that Thrushpelt was a very nice guy. Even though Bluestar didn’t return the same feeling back to him he still helped her out. I liked that they never became mates. He just loved her enough that he wanted to help her out with whatever she needed. He was just there for bluestar and the kits even though they were not his.
