Should I be this invested in the romances of a literal clan of cats? Probably not but I'm like five years too late to worry about that so...

Bluestar's book always makes me sad lol StarClan really messes stuff up for everyone, don't they? Same with Yellowfang but that's a WHOLE different story and I'm not going there today lol.

I liked getting to see what it's like for cats that grow up in clans and don't come into them later on, it's nice to see what it was like when stuff was more 'normal' in the clans without as many creepy prophecies going around lol. I've read this before (I've read literally all of the Warriors books and side stories and everything before so that's nothing new) but I remember this one was memorable out of all those books, and for good reason. It's a cross between very depressing and very interesting because Bluestar in the main series is so serious and untouchable and here you start with her being a kit and a squirrel falling on top of her head lol

Also I've said before that my favorite Warriors books are the ones set in the forest, not at the lake, so obviously I loved seeing all the clans back there.

After this I think I'll either read Tallstar's book or Crookedstar's because the second one gives you more of the other side on the whole Oakheart/Bluestar thing and also I just love Crookedstar lol but honestly Bluestar's life should have been better and that's all I have to say about that. Literally every time an important person showed up- BAM they were dead.
Spoiler Moonflower didn't even make it a hundred pages smh. I'm surprised Snowfur lived long enough to have a kit.

Also we got tiny Whitestorm! I loved that lol. And tiny Tigerstar was... predictably annoying.

(Final thing: Bluefur is a terrible warrior name. Jeez. She couldn't have been like... Blue- Blue- literally ANYTHING but Bluefur is my point. Bluepelt? Bluetail? How do they choose these things? Bluefoot?)

(Literally just ignore me, it's a good thing I'm not in charge of these books lol)

Bluestar's Prophecy is an incredible book. Bluestar is a very relateable character, and I admit, I really love stories where the character is torn between what they want and what is right. This is exactly my kind of story.

It shows a lot of Bluestar's life, especially her younger days. It starts with innocent Bluekit and her sister, Snowkit. Bluekit always has had ambitions to become a leader, but she did not know how much suffering it would take to get there. I can't say much at all without spoilers, but she loses many cats close to her, in one terrible blow after another. She comes to a point where she must choose what is most important for the overall sake of her Clan: her family or her future leadership. This is such a heartbreaking story.

I love these background origin books that show us pre-Firestar Clan lore. Its super neat and interesting! I didnt care for Bluestars semi-forced love interest with Oakheart. It was written in the main arc and I was excited to see how itd progress, but it just seemed kind of forced.
