It was good, and it was cool to see what things were like before [b:Into the Wild|1183379|Into the Wild (Warriors, #1)|Erin Hunter|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1181710585s/1183379.jpg|1346922], like ThunderClan being the bad guys, what Halftail's and One-eye's names were before, and whose mothers were whose. But it seemed anticlimactic, like by the time Bluefur decided she wanted to help raise Whitekit, the Erins were bored and just wanted to get to the end, so they just did the important events. We didn't get to see much past that point except her becoming deputy, then leader, and then the end. It might not have added much to the storyline, but they could have made it important. We should at least have seen Thistleclaw's death. For another thing, Mosskit is supposed to have been a tom, as we saw in [b:Secrets of the Clans|326911|Secrets of the Clans (Warriors Field Guide)|Erin Hunter|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1173774256s/326911.jpg|317552]. And I'm pretty sure Mosskit's death as seen in the Field Guide was not the same word-for-word as in Bluestar's Prophecy, and during Bluestar's death in the prologue, she was supposed to have actually said something to Oakheart out loud, about being ready to come, as we saw in [b:A Dangerous Path|336245|A Dangerous Path (Warriors, #5)|Erin Hunter|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1173848577s/336245.jpg|995220].

A fine superedition. Im glad the deal with Oakheart wasn't such a major åart of the plot, though that did mean it took up a lot of unnecessary room at the end, making their romance seem very rushed and bad. Also, however much of a great leader she was in the first series, here i dont really see why she was made deputy. Most of the time cats were just telling her how great she was, but there was never much proof. When she wasnt sad about another familymember, she was just kind of mediocre. Idk, could have been better, so that took a star. Otherwise i had a good time.

Vom 551-seitigen Deep Dive in die Vorgeschichte von Blaustern habe ich mir insofern eher keine großen Spannungsmomente erhofft, als dass die Fakten, welche Protagonisten in Staffel 1 noch am Leben sind, ziemlich eindeutig Aufschluss darüber gibt, wer in diesem Special Adventure dran glauben muss. Stattdessen erhoffte ich mir einen Nostalgie-Kick, der mich wieder das Gefühl spüren lässt, an einem Zuhause anzukommen, in der fabelhaften Welt von Staffel 1.
Nun, viele der Katzen in Blausterns Prophezeiung sind dann doch etwas Neues gewesen. Mein Hauptkritikpunkt ist aber ein anderer: So viel Alltagsgeschichte! Ja, teilweise ist es ganz cool, zum Beispiel Blaujunges' erster Jagderfolg, aber letztendlich ist dieses Buch gestreckt wie mildes Koks. Es passieren zu viele Gelegenheitsproblemchen ohne krasse Auswirkungen, die ich obendrauf so ähnlich schon zigmal in einem anderen Band gelesen habe, und deshalb musste ich mich gerade durch den Mittelteil richtig durchquälen. Warum müssen Special Adventures immer über 550 Seiten haben? Gerade in diesem Fall war das so beschissen - weil die Geschichte an sich großartige Momente hatte und auf 300 Seiten verschlankt total easy mit Bangern wie In die Wildnis oder Feuer und Eis hätte mithalten können.
Deshalb wollte ich eigentlich diesmal unter 3 Sterne vergeben. Dass das nicht passiert ist, liegt einzig und allein an den letzten 40 Seiten, die alle Nostalgietrigger gedrückt und mich deswegen komplett abgeholt haben. Irgendwie bin ich zu nett zu dieser Reihe. Aber ist nicht das vielleicht auch ein Indikator dafür, dass sie mir irgendwas besonderes mit auf den Weg gegeben hat?...

REREAD. It used to be my favorite Super Edition when I read it for the first time. It made me cry so much the first time, not this time because I knew what's gonna happen but it was still so sad. I love Bluestar with all my heart and I admire her choices. Her life wasn't easy at all.
I'm a simp for Oakheart and I can't wait to reread Crookedstar's promise to see him again especially because I love his relationship with his brother.
