Enjoyed this book just as much as the first in the series, possibly actually a touch more.

Whilst it had the same negative points as the first book (slightly clunky narrative and dialogue, plot predictable and tropey etc), as with the first book I didn’t actually mind these because of how fun the book was to read.

And boy was it fun! I cannot remember the last time I giggled so much whilst reading a book. Like kicking my legs and fanning myself and exclaiming out loud at so many points during it.

The plot kept me engaged throughout, and whilst it was mostly predictable there were a couple curveballs thrown in that I didn’t fully see coming. The spice scenes were hot as hell and the build ups to them were super steamy (looking at you cupboard scene). They were also nicely spaced out so I felt there was an excellent balance between them and the rest of the plot.

Character development was also very well done. I really like how everyone is protective of everyone else and how Rosalina isn’t a helpless FMC and actually kicks ass too whilst still portraying flaws and weaknesses in a believable way. This book also gave further insight into the princes which I very much enjoyed reading (seriously Dayton you need to get your shit together). The only thing I found myself getting a little frustrated by was Kel’s insistence about not revealing why he won’t break the curse, but then again miscommunication/hiding information is one of my least favourite tropes. And to be honest I don’t think it’s super overdone here and is understandable given the character and the hints at his backstory.

In conclusion: loved this book, love the characters, love the story and will be immediately diving into reading the next one!

This book made me feel things. It was a Rollercoaster in the best way! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time flying through this book.

This book drags so much it took me forever to finish. Again, for more than half of the book nothing really happens and we don’t really learn anything. Then at the end things get a bit better, but everything is so predictable. This author does not do a great job constructing a well written book. Why is it so long?
