Randomly got this for my birthday and didn’t know anything about the author until I read reviews when I finished it. I am horrified by this woman’s behaviour

Unfortunately this book was not for me. The romance was okay, but honestly just felt too insta love/sex in my opinion. what really solidified this for me was the amount of times the FMC and MMC, constantly spoke on the fact that their feelings towards each other have done a complete 180. This is brought up by both characters often throughout the book. Another issue I had with the book was the mystery element. Not only was it not very interesting but the conclusion to it is honestly very underwhelming. Like you’re telling me all this anger from this ghost is because no one knew her story?Because she didn’t get to live a longer life with her husband? Like what??? I get ghosts being lost looking for loved ones but this was a little too random for me.
If you enjoy spicy scenes and don’t mind an underwhelming mystery and just want to have a silly goofy time, this may be for you. 2.75⭐️

This one was tough.
Tough in the fact that I felt the author was pushing the race narrative way too much instead of just letting the story evolve and speak for itself. It’s apparent the author has some backstory with indigenous peoples vs white people.
I also didn’t find any of the characters likeable. I didn’t feel the connection between Pen and Storm. It was intense dislike and then instant attraction?
The writing style was clunky and didn’t flow well. It was very young in its prose.
Unfortunately this was a DNF for me, I didn’t feel push through enough of the story to make my informed decision.

If I Stopped Haunting You by Colby Wilkens has a very interesting concept, however it fell short. I totally got this because I thought the premise was cool and was going to dive into some really weird situations. Unfortunately it was difficult for me to stay in the moment and get hooked on the story.
For some reason, something kept pulling me out of the book and it took a while to get through, but I pushed through because I was hoping things would get better. I hope that others get more from this and it does well. I just might not be the right audience for this.

I really really wanted to like this book. The idea was a good one, but it felt really lackluster and surface level. I feel like it never really fully explained anything that happened. I don’t feel like anything is fully resolved in ways that make sense either. Again, really wanted to like this one, but it just wasn’t it for me.
