Just not my current mood

A pretty decent piece of fiction! I enjoyed most of the story, although the pacing throughout was slightly inconsistent in my opinion. I think there is a lot to take away from this book about the modern atrocities faced by Indigenous People.

My favorite thing about this book is the way Native American culture is seamlessly woven through the storytelling, even to the audiobook narrator.

This book is bleak and will make you cry but it's also a beautiful story and everybody should read it. I recommend the audiobook, there were moments of music that added to the feeling of the scene. I liked that there wasn't music throughout, only in a few key scenes. I loved all the characters and the ending was good. It helped make up for all the sadness the characters go through.
