I absolutely loved the first book of this series but the second was eh. I honestly loved Atlas & Lor but not as big of a fan of Nadir & Lor. I don’t feel like a lot really happened in this book & I was thrilled that she was reunited with her siblings they still were hardly even in the book. I hope the third one will be better since they will be going back to the Sun Palace.

I enjoyed this one even more than the first and didn’t want to put it down! The plot of Trial of the Sun Queen was so captivating, I was worried about this one living up to the expectations after book 1, but the plot and tension kept me hooked.
The dual POV had me giddy and was so well done! Forced proximity, fake dating, one horse, one tent- I’m feral for these tropes!!
Lor is without a doubt impulsive, rash, and traumatized, but I loved watching her be unapologetically herself. Nadir is a cinnamon roll Fae with a MOUTH. I was eating up all the party scenes.
Ends on a bit of cliffhanger, so starting book 3 right away!

I hate toxic masculinity being portrayed as hot and romantic
Bruv is all like "ahh I'd wait forever for her until she's ready" but then gets rejected from sex and responds by lashing out and saying "go back to guy who was sexually harassing you"... But it's ok you know coz they're mates and destined to be together 🙃
