The Next Right Thing: A Simple, Soulful Practice for Making Life Decisions

I really enjoyed this collection of essays/devotionals about spiritual practices that help us make decisions. Emily’s writing is beautiful and calming and I’ll remember a lot of what she said for a long time. If you are in a place where you are needing to make some big decisions, this is an excellent book to help. And if you’re not (like me), you’ll still be able to tuck a lot of what she says away until you need to make one.
Christian Personal Development Book
Really truly a great book on morphing your life after God's plan and enjoying where He takes you.
I had some real personal realizations in my own life when reading this book.
Excellent theology and an excellent book on focus and planning. I would read a Freeman book again in the future.

I really loved two chapters in here and thought the other 22 were well written but not revolutionary. Perhaps I'd like it more if I were a listener of her podcast?
Emily P. Freeman, you are a joy and so is this book (and podcast)! This was such a wonderful thing to read, and it's helped me think deeply about presence, naming feelings and emotions, and simply focusing on the next right thing rather than the days and years ahead. It's helped me think about decisions and notice Jesus in the invitations, quiet whispers, and the hopes of my heart. I hope to think about this for years to come, and am excited to start the journal that accompanies this book!
If you're in a season of transition, of needing to make decisions, or simply want to unclutter your soul and find deep, soulful rest, then this book might be just for you.

Not the book for me, which I thought might be the case going in. I simply find meaning and make decisions from a different (non-religious) place than the author.
